In recent years, few instruments dedicated to the soft x ray absorption spectroscopy at atmospheric pressure have been realized in Europe (and some are available for the scientific community at synchrotron radiation facilities) boosting the research on catalysis with NEXAFS. Despite the increased interest the potentialities of the technique are still largely unexplored. This workshop will be an occasion for the groups active in the field to establish the state of the art and to imagine the future directions.

HOW TO REACH US

• From the Trieste Centrale train/bus station it is a 5 minute walk.
• From Trieste Airport, take the train (30' of travel) or the bus G51 (55' of travel) and get off in the station square: from there, it is a 5 minute walk.
• For low cost transfers from Venice Airport or Treviso Airport to Trieste, Goopti is a nice solution.
• For those arriving by car, probably the best and cheapest solution is to leave the car at the Saba Silos Park near the train station, at a cost of around 10€ per day if booked online: from there, it is a 5 minute walk.

 

 

INFO FOR CONTRIBUTORS

At the moment, in Italy there is no obligation to wear a mask either outdoors or indoors with the exception of city buses.
However, the organizers of this workshop strongly encourage the use of the surgical mask for the duration of the conference.

The presentations will consist of a talk by the author with the support of slides projected on a LCD support, followed by a short discussion.

Keynote speakers will have 20 minutes of talk and 10 minutes of discussion, while regular speakers will have 15 minutes of talk and 5 of discussion.

Authors are expected to upload their presentation in PPT or PDF format on the PC of the conference room at least one session in advance.

ACCOMODATION

You can book at the NH Hotel, where the workshop will take place, otherwise Trieste has plenty of different kind of solutions for accommodation.

 

 

SOCIAL DINNER

The social dinner will be held on Monday 4^th July at 20:30 at the restaurant Il Melograno, located in Via di Cavana 14.
From 19:00, an aperitif dedicated to Carlo Lamberti will be held at Pier The Roof, at the end of Molo Venezia.
