Giovanni Vinai's research activity concerns the study of the magneto-electric properties of nanostructured materials and thin films. He is responsible of the MOKE & Masked deposition system and he is local contact and reference for the APE-HE beamline in UHV conditions. The class of materials of interest includes multiferroics and multiferroic heterostructures, complex oxides, magnetic interfaces, 2D materials.
